About Severin’s Real Estate Site
Thanks for coming to my site. In case we haven’t met yet, my name is Severin, and I’m here to provide you educational information about real estate, and I welcome any questions that you may have, which is why I am rebranding my marketing material as “Ask Severin Real Estate”.
I care about my clients and the transaction, putting my own interests last. This has served me well in my 19 years of real estate experience helping 100’s of clients make a successful move. Feel free to contact me with any real estate questions or thoughts that you may have. It’s never too early to start planning a move, after all, Advice is FREE, Mistakes Are NOT!!
Education
I pride myself on my overall educational achievements as well as my specific real estate accomplishments. I do have my Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, which sets me apart from most real estate agents. I’ve found that most agents don’t like dealing with engineers, mostly because they ask so many questions, and are very thorough. However, I’m a thorough agent, and I welcome any questions that you may have!!

Here are the most frequent communities I serve:
- Canton
- Livonia
- Plymouth
- Novi
- Northville
- Farmington Hills
- Farmington
- West Bloomfield
- Commerce Twp
- Walled Lake
- South Lyon

Real Estate Specialties
Along with helping clients buy and sell traditional real estate, there are also specialties that require additional experience and knowledge.
Lakefront Properties
Lakefront Properties in Michigan are numerous, but having knowledge of individual lakes is valuable information when you are looking to purchase and sell on a lake. You need to evaluate Lakefront, Lake View, and Lake Access, and there is a corresponding pricing with each. Some lakes have boat and dock access at a fraction of the cost of a lakefront home, depending on your overall preferences. Other items need to be evaluated such as lake depth, sandy areas, sand bars, all-sports lakes vs. restricted lakes, fishing, restrictions, etc. Evaluating lakefront criteria can get in depth, and you may identify several lakes that fit your criteria.
Estate Sales and Probate Sales
I’ve transacted numerous estate sales and probate real estate properties throughout Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Livingston Counties. The success of these transactions have been through no small part of the Estate attorney that I have partnered with for these locations. Knowing the court systems and processes for these counties are critical in reducing the time it takes to get your property on the market and get the transaction closed.
I have estate sale checklists that I handout to my clients who are looking to complete the close out of an estate or probate. Send me a message for a free copy.
New Construction Homes
New construction homes can be a joy if completed correctly, and with realistic expectations. I’ve closed dozens of new construction homes with various builders. Unfortunately you as the consumer are not going to know if a builder does a good job or a bad job until you go through the process with them. I have a new construction checklist that I review with all my clients prior to meeting with builders, as well as recommended upgrades and purchase agreement amendments that will ensure that you get a well built home that fits your criteria. I have dedicated a page to summarize new construction here.
